Elephant At My Door

  • Elephant by a door

There is an elephant

Knocking at my door
Should I let him in?
Wait there is more!

There is a monkey in my bathroom
He appears to be using the loo
I hope it's just a wee
And not a number two.

And to my surprise
There is a lion on my bed!
He is chewing on my teddy
Who is now definitely dead.

And dare I look
But there is a kangaroo in my fridge
With my food
He is building a bridge.

And to my shock and horror
There's a snake in my shed!
Better there I guess
Well away from my bed.

And last but not least
There is a giraffe in my car
Though with its long neck
He won't get far!

I seem to be being invaded
Animals all around
So I better stay quiet
Make very little sound.
